Service Description
This Basic Life Support (BLS) course is for individuals taking the course for the first time. This course is a video-based, instructor-led, hands-on learning experience designed for healthcare professionals and first responders. Who should take this course? • Nurses/ Certified Nursing Assistants • Patient Care Techs • Physicians/ Physician Assistants • Dentists/ Dental Assistants • Medical Students • Nursing Students • Respiratory Therapists • EMS professionals • EMT students • Paramedics • Firefighters/ Police Officers • First Responder Content: ➣ High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants ➣ BLS concepts from the Chain of Survival ➣ Delivering effective breaths or ventilations ➣ Importance of early use of and how to use an AED ➣ Performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR ➣ Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants ➣ Toxicology: Opioid Overdose Students who successfully pass the skills test and score at least 84% on the exam will receive a course completion card. Time: The Initial BLS course is taught in 3-4 hours.

Refund/Cancellation Policy
Refund Policy: There are no refunds once your class is booked. Rescheduling Policy: Only one rescheduling time is allowed and must be completed within 30 days from the original course date. If you do not complete the rescheduled course, it will be treated as a new course registration, and you will be required to pay the full course fee again. Class Cancellations by Heart Defense, LLC : In the rare event that we must cancel a class (e.g., due to an instructor emergency), you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional charge. Late Arrivals: Each student is allowed a 10-minute grace period. Students arriving later than 10 minutes will be denied entry and required to reschedule. *Rescheduling policy applies. No Show: There are NO refunds for No-Shows. The rescheduling policy does not apply. Student will have to re-register and pay for a new class. If you are going to be absent, please notify the office at least 48 hours in advance. Group or On-Site Training: Please refer to the terms as outlined in your group contract.
