Service Description
The ACLS renewal course is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiac arrest, stroke, or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. In this course, skills are taught in small and large group sessions: testing stations and group learning, where case-based scenarios will be simulated. Who should take this course? • Registered Nurses • Nurse Practitioners • Physicians/ Physician Assistants • Dentists • Paramedics/ EMTs • Respiratory Therapists • Medical Students/Medical Residents • Emergency Response personnel • Emergency Medicine personnel • Critical Care/ Intensive Care specialists Content: ➣ Systematic approach (assessment) ➣ High-quality BLS ➣ Airway management ➣ Cardiac Rhythm recognition ➣ Defibrillation ➣ Intravenous (IV)/intraosseous (IO) access (information only) ➣ Use of medications ➣ Cardioversion ➣ Transcutaneous pacing ➣ Effective resuscitation-team dynamics Students who successfully pass the skills test and score at least 84% on the exam will receive a course completion card. Requirements (Before taking the ACLS Class): ➣ Please email a copy of your current (not expired) ACLS card to: info@heartdefensellc.com. (Must be American Heart Association). ➣ Must complete the FREE 1-hour Pre-course Self-Assessment (with a passing score of at least 70%). The link will be sent via email.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
Refund Policy: There are no refunds once your class is booked. Rescheduling Policy: Only one rescheduling time is allowed and must be completed within 30 days from the original course date. If you do not complete the rescheduled course, it will be treated as a new course registration, and you will be required to pay the full course fee again. Class Cancellations by Heart Defense, LLC : In the rare event that we must cancel a class (e.g., due to an instructor emergency), you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional charge. Late Arrivals: Each student is allowed a 10-minute grace period. Students arriving later than 10 minutes will be denied entry and required to reschedule. *Rescheduling policy applies. No Show: There are NO refunds for No-Shows. The rescheduling policy does not apply. Student will have to re-register and pay for a new class. If you are going to be absent, please notify the office at least 48 hours in advance. Group or On-Site Training: Please refer to the terms as outlined in your group contract.
